Opening an existing Word, Excel or PowerPoint file

You can open a file that's already in your Nextcloud with a single click on its name. Euro-Office automatically opens the right component: the word processor for a document, the spreadsheet editor for a spreadsheet, the presentation editor for slides, and the pdf editor for a pdf.

Adding a file from your computer

Is the file still on your computer? Drag it into the Nextcloud window, or click New and then Upload files. Once it's uploaded, click the name to open it.

Opening without editing

Just want to take a look? Simply click the file. You can read it without changing anything; as long as you don't type anything, the file stays exactly as it was. If someone has shared the file with you with read-only rights, it opens in the reading view and you can't make any changes.

Will my file be converted?

No. A docx stays a docx, an xlsx stays an xlsx, and a pptx stays a pptx. Euro-Office works directly in the file. This means colleagues who use Microsoft Office can simply carry on opening the file as normal.
